SHANGHAI (ICIS news) --- China's Qiwangda Haizhong has completed the expansion of its aromatics unit on and is running normally at the rate of 60-70% at present, a company source said on Tuesday.
The expansion activities were completed on 2 October during the Golden Week holidays, the source said, adding that the plant had already produced on-spec toluene and xylene.
Qiwangda had shut the aromatics unit in late August.
The unit’s aromatics capacity has more than doubled to 70,000 tonnes/year of toluene and 40,000 tonnes/year of xylene, while its benzene capacity remained unchanged at 60,000 tonnes/year.
