TOKYO (ICIS news)--Japanese chemical producer Toagosei plans to integrate its production of acrylic polymers into one operation in order to increase its competitiveness, the company’s core business, it said on Tuesday.

The producer’s 100% subsidiary Nihon Junyaku would solely produce acrylic polymers and at the same time focus on developing manufacturing technologies starting on 1 January, while Toagosei and Nihon Junyaku both currently produced and sold the products separately, Toagosei said.

Toagosei would sell acrylic polymers produced by Nihon Junyaku, it added.

This would prevent any overlapping of operations and optimise production, as well as speed up the development of new products, the producer said.

The company also aimed to expand its business base, it added.
