HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US tyre and rubber producer Goodyear was awarded a seven-year contract as a supplier to the New York City Transit, the company said on Tuesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The New York City Transit has the largest transit bus fleet in the US, with more than 5,900 vehicles.
Since 1987, Goodyear has supplied the New York City Transit with bus tyres and service, the company said.
In addition to supplying tyres for buses, Goodyear said it was also offering retreading services and tyre management tools.
