NOON SNAPSHOT - Asia Markets Summary

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Here is Monday’s mid-day Asia oil and chemical market summary from ICIS pricing.

 

CRUDE: November WTI $89.510/bbl down 56 cents November BRENT $84.19/bbl down 47 cents

 

Crude futures softened on Wednesday morning in Asia, amid growing concerns that the global financial crisis will dampen demand for crude in both the industrialized nations and the developing economies such as China.

 

NAPHTHA: Asian naphtha prices opened softer Wednesday. Second half November prices indications were pegged at $664.00-667.00/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Japan, first half December at $678.00-681.00/tonne CFR Japan and second half December at $690.00-693.00/tonne CFR Japan.

 

BENZENE: Limited November discussions could be located on Wednesday morning, leaving prices unchanged at $900-915/tonne FOB (free on board) Korea. An offer was heard at $915/tonne FOB Korea for any December loading.

 

TOLUENE: Prices continued to hover at $825-840/tonne FOB Korea amid scant discussions. An offer surfaced at $845/tonne FOB Korea for November loading and another at $840/tonne FOB Korea for December lifting.
