Fushun to restart SM line next week after outage

SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--PetroChina subsidiary Fushun Petrochemical will restart its 60,000 tonne/year styrene monomer (SM) plant next week after it was shut down on Wednesday due to a technical problem, a company source said on Thursday.

 

The plant was currently undergoing maintenance, said the source in Mandarin.

 

The company is located in Funshun, in northeastern Liaoning province.

 

SM is used to make synthetic resins, plastics and synthetic rubbers.
