HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Here is Thursday’s mid-day Americas oil and chemical market summary from ICIS pricing.
CRUDE: WTI: $87.42, down $1.53; BRENT: $83.10, down $1.26
Crude prices bounced around but were mostly negative in response to a weaker stock market, which erased early gains on credit worries. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) topped out at $89.82/bbl and sold down to $86.50/bbl before consolidating.
NATURAL GAS: $6.815, up 7.3 cents
Natural gas futures prices moved higher in early trading despite a 88 bcf build in domestic inventories.
RBOB: $2.0222/gal, down 7.6 cents
Reformulated gasoline blendstock for oxygenate blending (RBOB) futures prices followed the trend down in early trading activity.
BENZENE: US Gulf October barges were talked in a narrower range of $3.40-3.45/gal FOB (free on board).
ETHYLENE: US ethylene for October was offered at 46 cents/lb on the Williams system and 48 cents/lb for Equistar delivery. No bids were heard. US ethylene for October traded at 42 cents/lb on Wednesday for Williams delivery.
PROPYLENE: Spot refinery-grade propylene (RGP) for October traded at 41.75 cents/lb, down from 50.25 cents/lb on 2 October when the last pipeline deal was heard done.
