SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--Mitsui Chemicals is planning to restart two ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber lines in Chiba, Japan, in late October, said a company source on Tuesday.
The two-line EPDM plant, with a total capacity of 45,000 tonnes/year, was shut down in early October for a scheduled turnaround, added the source.
Mitsui Chemicals’ other 75,000 tonne/year EPDM rubber plant at the site, which was started up last October, is operating normally, the source said.
The plant is the world’s largest single EPDM facility.
