Russia raises nine-month ferts output 3.9%

MOSCOW (ICIS news)--Russia raised total mineral-fertilizer production in January-September 2008 by 3.9% year on year at 13.4m tonnes, the Russian statistical agency Rosstat said in a statement released on Monday.

 

The country's overall output of ammonia was up 2.5% at 9.9m tonnes, according to the agency.

 

For the nine-month period Russia's overall plastics production was up 0.7% from the year-earlier period at 3.3m tonnes, while synthetic rubber output was up by 1.7% or 931,000 tonnes, according to the statement.
