LONDON (ICIS news)--Morocco’s Office Cherifien des Phosphates (OCP) is to shut down its Jorf Lasfar phosphate fertilizer production site from 1 November for one month, due to a lack of global demand, market sources said on Thursday.

OCP had completely stopped diammonium phosphate (DAP) production at the 1.63m/tonne year Jorf complex, they added, although the company was unable to confirm this.

Suppliers of sulphur and ammonia - feedstocks used in production of phosphate fertilizers - reported a slowdown in deliveries.
