LONDON (ICIS news)--US Gulf sulphur buyer PotashCorp has concluded all its remaining fourth-quarter liquid sulphur contracts down $465/long ton from the previous quarter at $150/long ton following a temporary suspension of negotiations last week after a substantial drop in global prices, a company spokesman said on Thursday.
These settlements also followed news late last week that sulphur buyer Mosaic had agreed one contract with a major supplier at $150/long ton CFR (cost and freight)
PotashCorp had settled an initial fourth-quarter contract earlier in the month with one supplier at a decrease of $300/long ton, taking the price to around $315/long ton CFR.
The company spokesman said this initial contract would still stand.
Mosaic remains in discussions with its suppliers on outstanding contracts.
Third-quarter contracts were agreed at an increase of $165/long ton at around $615/long ton CFR
