Dow restarts Texas olefins cracker - sources

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Dow Chemical has restarted its Freeport #7 olefins cracker in Texas that was taken offline in late August  when a cooling tower partially collapsed at the site, market sources said on Thursday.

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Dow’s Freeport #7 cracker has capacity of 612,000 tonnes/year.

The company has another cracker at the site, Freeport #8, with capacity for 1m tonnes/year.
