SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Japanese cracker operator Idemitsu Kosan restarted its 623,000 tonne/year ethylene plant in Tokuyama on schedule yesterday after a planned 45-day maintenance shutdown, a source from the company said on Thursday.
“The cracker is now running at 100%,” he said.
He added that the company planned to run the Tokuyama facility and its other 374,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Chiba, Ichihara prefecture, at close to full rates next month despite an ongoing turnaround at its refinery.
