HOUSTON (ICIS news)--DuPont has begun the second restart attempt of its Beaumont complex in Texas that was shut down on 17 October due to a loss of steam, the company said on Thursday.

DuPont said it tried to restart the site on 18 October but another shutdown occurred when the unit failed to reach standard operating conditions.

No further attempts were made at that time due to lack of product demand, DuPont said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
