LONDON (ICIS news)--PotashCorp is in the process of curtailing phosphoric acid production at one of its US plants at White Springs, Florida, in response to weak market conditions, a company spokesman said on Wednesday.
The products affected will be superphosphoric acid (SPA) and dry phosphate fertilizers, meaning diammonium phosphate (DAP) and monoammonium phosphate (MAP), he added.
It was not revealed by how much production would be reduced or for how long it would be reduced for.
However, the spokesman said that output would remain curtailed until there was a change in the supply/demand balance.
PotashCorp has capacity to produce 1.1m tonnes P205/year of phosphoric acid at White Springs.
