HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Berry Plastics will acquire certain assets of bankrupt custom injection moulder Erie County Plastics Corporation, the company said on Tuesday.
Evansville, Indiana-based Berry Plastics said it was the successful bidder for majority of the assets of Erie Plastics including equipment, inventory and other tangible and intangible assets. Berry Plastics did not disclose the cost of the acquisition.
Erie Plastics, a custom injection moulder of plastics packaging and components, filed for bankruptcy protection on 29 September, Berry Plastics said.
Berry Plastics said it anticipates closing the transaction this week.
