TORONTO (ICIS news)--DSM’s elastomers division has successfully started its first Keltan ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) production run using Keltan ACE technology at a facility in Geleen, the Netherlands, the Dutch chemicals producer said on Tuesday.

The new advanced catalyst technology offered the potential for significant energy savings and new product opportunities, it said.

Keltan ACE provides us with the largest innovation since the introduction of EPDM,” said Christian Widdershoven, DSM Elastomers' vice president marketing and sales.

“The project is now moving to the next phase after only two years of preparations,” he added.

DSM Elastomers is a global supplier of EPDM rubber.
