TORONTO (ICIS news)--Fluor has won a contract to work on a coker refinery project at US-based WRB Refining, a joint venture of ConocoPhillips and Canada’s EnCana, the petrochemicals engineering firm said on Wednesday.

The refinery near St Louis in Missouri was undergoing a capacity expansion to process heavy Canadian oil sands bitumen feedstock, Fluor said, without disclosing financial terms or capacity details.

EnCana said in September the new coker would have a capacity of 65,000 bbl/day, enabling the refinery to expand processing of oil sands bitumen by 130,000 bbl/day, to 240,000 bbl/day.
