MOVES: BASF appoints head of Ciba integration

Heinz to head Ciba integrationLONDON (ICIS news)--BASF has appointed Michael Heinz as head of the global team to integrate Ciba following the takeover period, the German chemicals group said on Thursday.

Heinz would transfer from his current role of head of Crop Protection on 1 February, to be replaced by Markus Heldt.

BASF was expected to close the acquisition of Ciba in the first quarter of 2009 after approvals from anti-trust authorities.
