LONDON (ICIS news)--Dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) reference prices in Europe dropped €193/tonne ($247/tonne) from September to December due to upstream decreases, according to global chemical market intelligence service ICIS pricing.
DMT fell by €87/tonne to €609-650/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest ?xml:namespace>
The DMT values were in line with the traditional formulas relating to paraxylene (PX).
PX dropped €310/tonne from September to December, landing at €525/tonne FD NWE.
The value of the other key feedstock, methanol, rolled over from the third to the fourth quarter at €295/tonne FOB (free on board)
($1 = €0.78)
