NOON SNAPSHOT - Asia Markets Summary

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Here is Tuesday’s mid-day Asia oil and chemical market summary from ICIS pricing.

CRUDE: January WTI $43.85/bbl up 14 cents January BRENT $43.52/bbl up 10 cents

Crude futures edged higher on Tuesday morning in Asia, after gaining some 7% the previous day amid gains in share markets and reports of further cuts in supplies from Saudi Arabia.

NAPHTHA: Second half January open spec naphtha was assessed at $271-274/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Japan up around $10-14/tonne on the previous day following gains in crude oil.

BENZENE: Prices were notionally assessed stable at $280-295/tonne FOB (free on board) Korea. A bid was heard at $230/tonne FOB Korea for any January lifting, while another bid for January also surfaced at $220/tonne FOB Singapore.

TOLUENE: Prices firmed to $410-420/tonne FOB Korea on Tuesday as selling indications for January or February loading cargoes were heard at $425-430/tonne FOB Korea countered by buying indications for January at $410/tonne FOB Korea.
