LONDON (ICIS news)--AkzoNobel’s ethylene amine plant at Stenungsund, Sweden, will undergo unplanned maintenance work in the first quarter of 2009 that will reduce its production to approximately 85%, a company source said on Tuesday.
The repairs, which are not part of the plant’s annual maintenance work, were expected to last between four to six weeks, the source said.
The source said there will be little impact on availability, noting that all its contracts will be covered.
