TORONTO (ICIS news)--US natural gas supplier Enterprise Products Partners has completed repairs and resumed full service on its 1.8bn cubic feet/day High Island Offshore System (HIOS) pipeline in Texas, which was badly damaged by Hurricane Ike in September, it said on Tuesday.

HIOS consists of a 291-mile pipeline system that transports natural gas from producing fields located in the Galveston, Garden Banks, West Cameron, High Island and East Breaks areas of the Gulf of Mexico to third-party pipeline systems.

It also includes eight pipeline junction and service platforms.

Houston-based Enterprise Products Partners is described as a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), crude oil and petrochemicals.
