India imposes 5-year levy on South Korea NBR

NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India has imposed definitive anti-dumping duties (ADDs) on nitrile rubber (NBR) imports from South Korea, a government official said on Monday.

The government has levied an ADD of $38.73/tonne on imports from Korea Kumho Petrochemical Co (KKPC) and LG Chem.

All other imports of Korean origin would attract a levy of $362.75/tonne. This tariff would remain in force for five years beginning 2 January.

The tariff protection is to benefit the country’s sole NBR producer, Eliokem India Private Limited (EIPL), which is a subsidiary of France’s Eliokem.
