SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea's LG Chem has ramped up production at its two naphtha crackers to 90-95% this month due to improved demand from the downstream vinyls and polyethylene sectors, a company official said on Tuesday.
"We plan to keep running at these rates until the end of February," he said.
LG Chem’s 900,000 tonne/year cracker in Yeosu is currently running at 90%, while the other 760,000 tonne/year cracker at Daesan is operating at 95%. Both facilities were running at 80-85% in December.
