MOVES: Lamar McKay to lead BP America

TORONTO (ICIS news)--BP has appointed Lamar McKay chairman and president of BP America, the international energy and petrochemicals major said on Tuesday.

McKay, who will be based in Houston, succeeds Robert Malone, who is retiring after 34 years with BP.

McKay has led BP’s special projects team since early 2008. Before that, he was vice president and chief operating officer for BP America.

He started out in 1980 as a petroleum engineer for Amoco, which in 1998 merged with BP.
