HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US plastic packaging manufacturer Sealed Air will close its Cedar Rapids plant in Iowa and transfer work to other North American sites over the next six to 10 months, the company said on Tuesday.
The plant produces flexible food packaging and employs about 250 people, according to spokesperson Ken Aurichio.
Sealed Air uses a variety of resins in its packaging products, including polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polystyrene (PS).
