SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea’s KP Chemical will restart its 500,000 tonne/year No 2 paraxylene (PX) unit at Ulsan by the end of January, a company source said on Thursday.
“We shut it down somewhere in end-December 2008 for maintenance,” said the source, adding that no other turnarounds have been planned for the rest of 2009.
The company operates another 200,000 tonne/year No 1 unit at the same site, which will be shut in October 2009 for two weeks of maintenance work, the source said.
