HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Flint Hills Resources (FHR) said on Monday it has begun to restart its Port Arthur olefins cracker in Texas, which was idled in early December due to weak market conditions.
FHR declined to comment on the filing.
The restart in Port Arthur followed news last week that FHR has begun the final shutdown of its Odessa olefins plant in Texas.
The company announced the decommissioning of the 348,000 tonnes/year site in Odessa in early November.
