HOUSTON (ICIS news)--BASF Fina Petrochemicals was preparing its Port Arthur olefins conversion unit in Texas for maintenance, the joint venture said on Wednesday in a public filing.

The olefins conversion unit would be cleared, with flaring occurring beginning on Wednesday, according to the report to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
