HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US non-fuel use propylene inventories dropped by 3.6% in the week ended 16 January compared with the week earlier, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Thursday.
US propylene inventories last week were at 3.709m bbl, according to the EIA.
The figure is up by 45% from 2.564m bbl one year earlier, the government said.
Non-fuel use propylene, as defined by the EIA, is intended for petrochemical manufacturing, including polymer and chemical-grade propylene.
