TOKYO (ICIS news)--Japan’s imports of naphtha for ethylene production in December 2008 fell 2.7% to 1.07m tonnes, down from 1.1m tonnes in the previous month, according to government figures released on Tuesday.
The total cost of naphtha imports in December was $492.2m, down 39% from November, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) said.
The price of naphtha was $459.6/tonne in December, a 37.5% decrease from $735.2/tonne the month before, according to METI.
