US Nov ethanol production rises 39% year over year

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US ethanol production in November was 668,000 bbl/day (841m gal), a 39% increase from 479,000 bbl/day one year earlier, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Friday.

US production of the biofuel in November was up by 3% compared with 647,000 bbl/day in October, the EIA said.

US ethanol production in January-November 2008 totalled 199.5m bbl, up by 43% from 139.2m bbl in the same period of 2007, according to EIA data.
