HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Brazilian ethanol prices were largely steady in week ended 30 January due to balanced supply/demand, research group Cepea said on Tuesday.

Cepea assessed hydrous ethanol at Brazilian reais (R) R0.8056/litre ($1.31/gal), unchanged from the previous week.

Anhydrous ethanol was assessed at R0.8811/litre, up by 0.5% from R0.8766/litre a week earlier.

Brazil uses hydrous ethanol as a stand-alone fuel and blends anhydrous in gasoline at 25%.

Cepea’s price assessments are ex-tank and do not include taxes.
