SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Thailand’s producer Bangkok Synthetics Co  (BST) will shut down its 140,000 tonne/year butadiene (BD) extraction unit on 20 February for turnaround, a company source said on Thursday.

The BD unit at Mab Ta Phut in Rayong province will be taken off line for 20 days until 10 March, the source added.

BST supplies BD to its customers in Southeast Asia, including its own downstream styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and butadiene rubber (BR) plants in Thailand.
