HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Formosa Plastics on Monday shut down a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) reactor at its Point Comfort plant in Texas for maintenance, according to a filing with state regulators.
The company could not immediately be reached for comment.
The reactor was scheduled to restart on 16 March, according to the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
It is one of a series of PVC units at the Point Comfort complex, which produces 625,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
In addition to Point Comfort, the company operates plants at Delaware City in Delaware and Baton Rouge in Louisiana.
