HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Chemical manufacturer BASF has named ChemPoint its distributor of less-than-truckload quantities of BASF's acrylic monomer within Canada, the company said on Monday.

In 2004, BASF named ChemPoint its distributor for acrylic monomer in the US - a relationship that "proved to be successful for both companies and for our customers", said Dave Antonuccio, sales manager for BASF's acrylic monomers business in North America.

Acrylic monomers are raw materials used to make super-absorbent polymers, coatings, adhesives and paper.
