LONDON (ICIS news)--INEOS has held the first of three planned meetings with employee representatives in Lavera, southern France, to discuss plans to maintain long-term sustainability at the refining and petrochemicals complex, the company said on Friday.
INEOS met the Central Committee of Enterprise on Thursday and has now agreed to hold meetings on 31 March and 20 April to discuss with employees how the company plans to cope with the current economic downturn.
The company said it had reduced non-manpower fixed costs, improved working capital and reduced non-essential capital expenditure over the past three months, while maintaining full production at the refinery.
No further details were given on Thursday’s meeting, while union representatives were not immediately available for comment.
