SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Asian adipic acid contracts for March have been rolled over at $1,000-1,050/tonne (€750-787.50/tonne) cost and freight (CFR) NE Asia, unchanged from February due to weak downstream demand, buyers and sellers said on Wednesday.

April term offers have been announced at $1,400/tonne CFR NE Asia on the back of firming feedstock benzene prices.

Adipic acid is used to make nylon 6,6 and polyurethane (PU).

Major Asian producers of adipic acid include Asahi Kasei, PetroChina Liaoyang Petrochemical and Shandong Bohui.
