LONDON (ICIS news)--Swedish oxo-alcohols producer Perstorp Oxo will shut down its Stenungsund-based n-butanol (NBA) plant for planned maintenance in May, a company source said on Friday.
The 100,000 tonne/year plant will go down in early May for around 10 days, the source said.
Perstorp’s contract customers would not be affected as stocks would be built up ahead of the shutdown, the source said; however, the company would have less spot availability during the period.
Other European butanol producers include BASF and Oxea.
