HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Despite occasional high demand from Asian countries, Mexico remained the top destination for US exports of high density polyethylene (HDPE) in February, according to data appearing on Friday from the US International Trade Commission (ITC).

The US exported 138,818 tonnes of HDPE in February, 9% less than a year ago when 151,993 tonnes were exported, but 15% more than in January.

Canada took a distant second place with 20,614 tonnes, and China was third with 18,670 tonnes received.

All other destinations received volumes below 6,000 tonnes.
