HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Sigma-Aldrich has appointed Michael Kanan as its vice president and corporate controller, effective on 13 April, the US fine chemicals firm said on Friday.

Kanan succeeds Karen Miller, who was recently promoted to vice president of strategy and corporate development.

Kanan’s most recent position was vice president of finance in light vehicle systems at ArvinMeritor, a US automotive supplier.

His experience in leading a global finance operation can only further enhance our own leadership position in our industry,” Sigma-Aldrich CFO Rakesh Sachdev said.
