LANXESS to distribute fluororubbers for Russia's Halopolymer

LONDON (ICIS news)--LANXESS has entered a contract to distribute fluororubbers for Russian rubber producer Halopolymer, the specialty chemicals company said on Friday.

LANXESS said it planned to market the products to regions outside Russia under the name Levatherm F.

Halopolymer said it produced about 13,000 tonne/year of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and was looking to expand to gain 10% of the global market.

Fluororubbers are used in aerospace, automotives, oil extraction and process engineering to make seals, hoses, diaphragms and sealing plugs.
