SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Japan’s Tosoh Corp plans to partially shut its 1.1m tonne/year caustic soda plant in Nanyo for a one-month turnaround in May, a source close to the company said on Monday.

The turnaround will affect several lines and will start early-May and will end early-June. Total production rate at the plant is estimated at 60-70% during the turnaround, the source said.

Tosoh runs another 184,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant in Yokkaichi, which underwent a turnaround in April.
