SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Asia's largest phenol-acetone producer, Mitsui Chemicals, plans to shut its Singapore plant in mid-May for about a month long scheduled maintenance, a company official said on Friday.
"The plant will be off line from 15 May to 20 June," the source said.
The unit was currently running at full rates to build up inventory.
The facility at Jurong Island in Singapore has a nameplate capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 180,000 tonnes/year of acetone.
