Czech Spolchemie names distributors for expansion into Americas

PRAGUE (ICIS news)--Synthetic resins producer Spolchemie has appointed several new distributors in a push to expand its presence and sales in the Americas, the Czech company said on Friday.

Following the recent opening of a bulk liquid epoxy resin tank in Texas with a 180,000 tonne capacity, Spolchemie said it had also moved to maintain epoxy resin stockpiles in Atlanta, Mexico and Brazil and was “actively exploring opportunities for additional bulk tanks”.

US distributor Bech Chem was providing administrative and logistic support for business from the bulk tank, the company added.

Further details of the company's plans to build epoxy resin production capacity in the US were not yet available.

The other North American distributors named were: United Mineral & Chemical Corp (US); Superior Chemical Solutions (US); and Continental Links (Canada).

The South American distributors named were: Cotia Foods (Brazil); Ultra Chem (Mexico); and Sensopolis (South America).
