Russia's exports, imports of chemical goods fall in Q1

MOSCOW (ICIS news)--Russia's foreign trade turnover of chemical goods was down sharply in the January-March period, the Russian Industry and Energy Ministry said in a statement released on Wednesday.

The country's overall chemical exports for the quarter were down by 45.5% year on year at $2.8bn (€2.1bn), according to the ministry.

Russia's total chemical imports were down by 40.7% from the same quarter in 2008 at $2.3bn, the statement said.
