China’s Yunnan Yunwei’s new DMF plant to start in June

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Yunnan Yunwei plans to start production at its new 100,000 tonne/year dimethylformamide (DMF) plant in southwest China in June, a company source said on Monday.

The total DMF production capacity in China currently stands at about 900,000 tonnes/year. The new plant will use methanol as one of its feedstock.

Other regional producers of DMF include South Korea’s Samsung Fine Chemical and India’s Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (RCF).
