NOON SNAPSHOT - Asia Markets summary

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Here is Tuesday’s mid-day Asia oil and chemical market summary from ICIS pricing.

CRUDE: Jun WTI $54.27/bbl down 31 cents/bbl Jun BRENT $54.07/bbl down 40 cents/bbl

 Crude futures weakened on Tuesday morning in Asia, after hitting highs for the year in the previous session. Prices rose on Monday following the release of further upbeat economic data from the US.

NAPHTHA: Asian naphtha prices opened $10.50/tonne firmer Tuesday. Second half June price indications were pegged at $466.00-469.00/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Japan, first half July at $466.50-469.50/tonne CFR Japan and second half July at $467.50-470.50/tonne CFR Japan.

BENZENE: Buying indications for June and/or July parcels were unchanged at $580/tonne FOB (free on board) Korea on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, selling indications were pegged above $605/tonne FOB Korea for June delivery.

TOLUENE: Discussions were thin in the morning. Buying ideas for July parcels were heard around $605/tonne FOB Korea while selling indications were limited.
