HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Huntsman began the restart process of its Port Neches cracker in Texas, following repairs on the unit’s heat exchangers, the US producer said on Thursday.

Emissions associated with the start-up process will last through 24 May, Huntsman said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Huntsman has 200,000 tonnes/year of ethylene capacity in Port Neches.
