India imposes ADD on caustic soda imports from EU, Taiwan

NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India has imposed an anti-dumping duty (ADD) on caustic soda imports from the EU, excluding France, along with Indonesia and Taiwan, a government source said on Thursday.

The reference price-based ADD has been levied with immediate effect and would remain in force for five years, the official said.

The customs officials would calculate ADD as the difference between a uniform reference price of $415.46/tonne (€306/tonne)and the value of imports arriving at an Indian port.

This tariff is line with recommendations from the anti-dumping authorities, which completed its sunset review (SSR) of earlier levy towards March-end.
